Top marketing agencies for block paving contractors

Block paving is a crowded trade with a bad reputation to fight. Every town has a leaflet drop from someone with no address, so the firms that win are the ones that look established, show real finished drives and get back to people fast. Here are five agencies that help with that, in the order we'd rank them.

The driveway problem, in short

Homeowners spend £5,000 to £15,000 on a drive and they're nervous about it. They've heard the horror stories. So before they ring, they want to see your Google reviews, your photos and a proper website with a real address. Then they want a quote quickly, because they're getting three.

That shaped our ranking. We looked at whether each agency's proof includes driveways or landscaping specifically, whether leads are exclusive or shared, how it handles the quote and follow-up stage, and what it costs when the ground is frozen and nobody's buying. Spotting a cowboy marketing agency is worth a read too, given the number of lead-sellers circling this trade.

1. Riley Marketing

Best for: Paving firms who need to look established and quote fast

The weakness most block paving firms have online is credibility. Riley Marketing's £149-a-month system (at time of writing) addresses that head-on: an SEO-focused website with service pages (block paving, resin, patios, tarmac) and location pages for each town, a tuned Google Business Profile and Google review automation that keeps new five-star reviews arriving, including from past customers you never asked.

Then there's the quoting. The CRM tracks every enquiry and sends branded quote pages on your own domain. When a homeowner has three quotes on the table and yours is the only one that looks like it came from a real company, that tends to settle it. Missed call text back covers the calls you can't take while you're on the compactor.

Riley builds the whole system before you pay, with unlimited revisions, no setup fee and cancel any time. Landscapers and builders are among the trades it works with, and founder Tom Riley, who has ten years in search and lead generation, handles clients directly. Google Ads and Meta ads can be added later once the foundations are in.

At £149 a month there's no winter penalty, which matters in a trade that goes quiet from November to February.

Verdict: Fixes the trust and quoting problems first, at a fee that doesn't hurt in winter.

2. Lead Wave

Best for: Fast Facebook leads with one firm per area

Lead Wave, run by Nick from Lowestoft and Norwich and trading since 2022, generates leads from Facebook ads shown only in your area, with one business per trade per area. Driveway installers and landscapers are named trades. Every enquiry gets an automatic text within seconds, and it says campaigns are typically live within an hour with first leads inside 24 hours.

It also offers Google Ads measured on booked jobs and websites for tradesmen. Pricing isn't published and is quoted via WhatsApp; it's month-to-month with no lock-in. Published results cover roofers in several regions and a tree surgeon, plus a carpet cleaner testimonial.

For a paving firm that wants the phone busy next week, it's about as fast as it gets. Just be clear on what a lead costs you before the campaign goes live.

Verdict: Quick, exclusive and contract-free. Get the price in writing.

3. Landscape Marketers (Intent Marketing Ltd)

Best for: Paving firms that also do landscaping and want a single-niche agency

Landscape Marketers, based in Litlington near Royston in Hertfordshire, works only with landscaping companies, garden designers, driveway and paving companies and tree surgeons. It claims to be the UK's leading marketing experts for landscaping, gardening and tree surgery firms.

Services run from website design and online advertising to SEO, AI search optimisation, email, social and downloadable guide and video lead funnels. It publishes case studies for a garden design and driveway firm, a landscaper and a garden designer. Pricing isn't published.

If your work is drives plus patios plus the odd full garden, a niche agency that already knows the seasonality and the customer is a sensible choice.

Verdict: Proper niche focus and relevant case studies. Ask about price early.

4. Get Work

Best for: Google Ads leads through a managed platform, with text alerts

Get Work in Lytham St Annes builds a custom landing page and a Google Ads funnel per tradesperson, with text notifications for new leads, a lead management and job booking platform and a spend and job-value dashboard. Driveways and landscaping are named trades, and it's a Google Partner working with trade associations.

It says leads are exclusive and that its landing pages convert far better than typical home improvement sites. Pricing is on a separate page, not the homepage. The published case study is a roofing company's first-month revenue and ROI.

Good for a paving firm that wants Google search traffic without running an ad account, though the driveway-specific proof isn't there on the site.

Verdict: A managed route into Google Ads. Ask for a driveway client's numbers.

5. Scale Through Us

Best for: Firms wanting a full paid-ads-plus-automation package with limited exclusivity

Scale Through Us, based at Great Portland Street in London and working UK-wide, sells a fully managed growth department: Facebook, Instagram and Google ads, web design, SMS marketing, reputation management, email, SEO and CRM automation. It caps itself at three businesses per niche per location. Driveways and paving are listed trades.

Pricing isn't published and there are no detailed case studies, just three short testimonials from electrical, roofing and driveway clients.

The offer is broad and the exclusivity cap is a nice idea, but with proof this thin you'd want references from a paving client before committing.

Verdict: Big promise, limited evidence. Do your homework.

Picking for your paving business

If customers already find you but don't convert, the problem is trust and quoting, and Riley Marketing is built for exactly that at a price you can carry through winter. If you need leads this week and can afford Facebook spend, Lead Wave. If you're half landscaper, Landscape Marketers.

Get Work suits a firm that wants Google search leads handed over on a platform. Scale Through Us is the widest offer but the thinnest proof.

Whatever you do, read quoting faster and winning more and start collecting your first twenty Google reviews. In block paving the firm that gets a tidy quote back first wins far more often than the cheapest one.

Frequently asked questions

Facebook or Google for block paving leads?

Both work. Google catches people actively searching for a driveway firm. Facebook catches people who weren't looking but saw a neighbour's drive. Google leads tend to be hotter; Facebook leads tend to be cheaper but need more chasing.

How do I stand out from the cowboys?

A real address, plenty of recent Google reviews, before-and-after photos and a written quote on your own branding. Most rogue traders can't fake all four.

What's a reasonable marketing budget for a paving firm?

As a worked example, a firm doing £300,000 a year that spends 4 percent would have about £1,000 a month, which could be one of the fixed-fee systems plus a modest ad budget.

Do I need a website if I get all my work from Facebook?

Yes. People who see your Facebook ad look you up before they ring. A site with reviews and real photos is what turns the click into a call.
